Contribute Your Summary
Excellent Educator welcomes educators, researchers, and academic practitioners who wish to contribute editorial summaries of peer-reviewed education research. These summaries aim to make research findings accessible, reflective, and relevant for educational practice.
Please note: The summary format and editorial practices described below apply to submissions from Issue 3-1 onwards.
What We Publish
Excellent Educator does not publish original empirical research.
Instead, it publishes editorial summaries of peer-reviewed journal articles, prepared to support professional reflection, discussion, and informed decision-making in education.
Summaries are interpretive and explanatory in nature, while remaining faithful to the original research.
Who Can Contribute
We welcome contributions from:
- School educators and teacher educators
- Higher-education faculty and doctoral scholars
- Educational researchers and academic practitioners
Contributions may be made independently or in collaboration with the Editorial Team.

Summary Format (At a Glance)
(From Issue 3-1 onwards)
Each contribution follows a structured, educator-focused summary format, designed to translate research into practice-oriented insights. A summary includes:
- Title – clear and research-focused
- Academic Insights – key findings presented as concise bullet points
- Apply This Now – implications for teaching or educational practice
- Add This in Your Lesson – one practical classroom idea derived from the research
- Avoid This Mistake – a research-based caution or common misinterpretation
- Keywords – to support indexing and discoverability
- Reference – full APA-style reference of the original article
- Suggested Citation – provided in accordance with editorial policy
This format ensures consistency across issues while keeping summaries clear, accurate, and immediately useful for educators.
Detailed formatting instructions are available on the Instructions for Authors page.
